“We’re getting better and better at reading. We often go to our town’s public library. We like it there. There are some really cool books, for kids and adults. It’s fun and we also learn stuff.” The Joan Margarit Library is one of the local facilities that we take advantage of each week. And in addition to the schools, the doctors’ surgery, and so on, we also have good children’s playgrounds: Can Freixes, El Mil·lenari and El Nou Jovenívol.

But the most important facility for our Children’s Home, the RIE, is our own building. Our Board of Governors is pressing forward with its efforts to find a good option for the new building that we need. It would be good to continue in the same town. Arrangements are still being made in spite of the challenges and setbacks. We’ll need everybody’s support if we’re to get a new “Resi” for our young charges in the not-too-distant future.
