The summer holidays involve travel and other family arrangements that, sometimes, are a far cry from normal routines. But for many families, it’s NOT about summer sightseeing. They are faced with a very different reality: meeting the challenges and difficulties life has thrown their way as they try to achieve family and work stability and keep everything in balance. One of our courageous little girls, who has spent the last few years with us, is travelling back to her family’s home country, in Africa. So she won’t be with us at our Home, the “Resi”, next school year. Together with her mum and younger brother, they are going back to be together as a family. We wish them all the best and will always remember the sweet moments we have shared together. And if ever you come back to the Barcelona area to visit us, we’ll remember “old times” and laugh again together.
We also hope that all our other children will keep well this summer, as they spend time with their families and doing holiday activities. And we may well be having new children coming to join us in September. We hope that all the paperwork we are trying to finalise will go smoothly over these next few weeks. Life is no holiday trip, but rather an authentic obstacle race. Anyway, we wish each and every one of you a great summer, wherever your travels take you.
