We are pleased to present you the new logo for our Children’s Home, the RIE. For several decades we have enjoyed using the delightful figure of a house with children inside. Back then, our Board gave the commission to an artist friend who came up with the image that has represented us far and wide. That logo has symbolised so many wonderful experiences with the children under our roof over the years. These comments are offered as a fond farewell, a small tribute to our logo up until now.
This new visual symbol will continue to represent our foster home, where children of different ages live together. But from now on it will emphasize the happy coincidence of the acronym “RIE”, which means someone who “laughs” in Spanish. Childhood is full of laughter, happiness and vitality. So our new logo is a smile. It is featured in bright yellow, transmitting optimism and creativity. This change is part of the transformation which our Home, the RIE, is experiencing at the present time, involving the project for a new building, increased capacity for taking in children and a new tax status. Times change, but our aims are still the same: to provide shelter, assistance and a healthy upbringing. Thank you for all your kind assistance.
