After a number of bureaucratic and logistical setbacks, we were finally able to welcome one of the girls that were shortlisted for starting the 2026-2027 school year with us. In October our new friend from Equatorial Guinea was able to begin her time here at our Home, the “Resi”. She is very pleased to be living with other children and getting the attention she needs. As we told you some weeks ago, we had more applications pending, but these other children can’t join us, not in the short or medium term anyway.
Every life is precious. Each new child that comes to live in our “Emmanuel family” is very important to all of us. We consider that we are protecting and forming little individuals who need and deserve to grow up in the best possible way. Other children were not able to join us because some essential requirement could not be met. Our only consolation is that we tried our best to do everything in our power to help them. What would it have been like to know them and have them live here with us? We don’t know. As in the photo, we can only imagine it. Some are present and others are absent. But we sincerely wish the very best for all of them and their families, and send them all our love.
