As we reach the mid-point in the school year, we would like to express our sincere thanks to our volunteers and helpers. One of our care team’s tasks is to find and coordinate volunteers to help with the direct and indirect needs of our children. The selfless response by volunteers isn’t just the work they actually put in with the children for a few hours, but also the time and money involved in travelling to come and help us. They offer their time and commitment throughout the school year.
We thank the volunteers that spend time with the younger children and help them with their school work. We also thank the computer specialists, translators, educationalists, psychologists, repair and maintenance helpers, former children at our Home that come back to visit us, groups that organise parties, the lovely people that pay for pizzas, or arrange fund-raising activities, friends that are available to deal with unexpected needs… In the photo, with Mariona, is Víctor, one of our volunteers, who is much loved by the children and has provided assistance with home-work over the last few years. We thank all of you for all the effort you put in.
