Children in other times had other difficulties, depending on their historical context. Today’s children grow up with very tough problems: a global pandemic, threats of war, a country-wide blackout, survival kits, justifications of racism, religious fanaticism… Our young people and children are discouraged by this news and such negative expectations. They see uncertain times ahead of them. They face a future that looks very grey.
In spite of that inevitable reality, our responsibility is to bring up the children with values that help them cope with life. A good education, effort, patience, solidarity… are part of having a positive attitude. When we live like this, we manage life better and our vision of the future has colour added to it. Just as in bygone days, today’s children face their reality. They have our help. We work to strengthen them. Thank you for supporting us.
