This 23rd January 2025 will go down as an important date in the history of our Emmanuel Children’s Home. At just after 12 noon we signed off on the purchase of the plot of land located in the centre of Sant Just Desvern. This is where, God permitting, our new Home, already designed, will be built. We were due to sign the contract in December but, by mutual agreement, it was postponed one month. In the photo are Fina Grau, the Chair of our association, along with Pedro Ponce, the secretary to the Board of Governors, in the Notary’s office moments before the signing took place.
Once again, we want to give a huge thank-you to each and every one of you that helped, some of you even repeatedly, with your donations to enable this purchase to go ahead. This January 2025 brings to mind another important January, in 1969, fifty-six years ago, when the service we provide first opened its doors. We are grateful to God for all these years and that we can continue providing assistance, now and in the future, to many children and their families. Emmanuel: “God with us”.
