They’ve passed!
School reports will soon be telling us what final marks each student has obtained at the end of their year at primary or secondary school. We’ll know what level they’ve reached in all their different subjects, such as maths, nature studies, social studies, civic awareness, Catalan, Spanish, English, P.E., biology, physics, chemistry… each according to their age group.
But there are other, different subjects which the children here at our Home, the “Resi”, have been learning. They include disciplines such as… not wasting time, getting enough sleep, eating well, looking after personal hygiene, making their bed, greeting people politely, keeping on good terms with everybody, loving their mum and dad, respecting the carers, having a healthy level of self esteem, being a problem solver and not a problem causer, and so on. In all of these “major subjects”, that are so tremendously important, we are pleased to inform you that THEY HAVE PASSED!
Prayer topics
(1) *** For the change of pace for both the children and their parents as the summer vacation begins. That this special summer time together will be a constructive period, one that improves family bonding.
(2) *** For the possibility of some new arrivals at the “Resi”, at the beginning of next school year. That God will open or close doors so that the children we end up with will be those who most need and can most benefit from our Home.
(3) *** For our Home’s finances, which are still very stretched.
