A concert !

Our friend, the singer Betty Akna, has long been keen to support our Emmanuel Children’s Home (RIE) with various solidarity projects. A few years ago, she took part in our last “Canta y Rie” music album: “Jesús”. And this February, on Saturday 24th at 7:30 pm, she will present her album “Agua y Fuego” (“Water and Fire”) in Barcelona, at the church in c/ Trèvol, 9-19. It will be a charity concert with proceeds going to the RIE. We are so grateful to Betty and her team for all their support and kindness to us here at our Home, the “Resi”. Thank you too to all those who will be attending and participating in this solidarity performance.

Another project that Betty has set up in collaboration with Music-4-Life is one called “Quitando Frío” (“Driving the Cold Away”), based on her motto for solidarity “una canción, una acción” (“a song, an action”). This is an initiative requesting one-off donations to provide funding to renew one of our Home’s water heaters, which is playing up and needs replacing.
