Our reality is the present
The past? Even the tiniest of our children have their past. The first few months of life leave their imprint on each one of us. But however good the past may have been, we mustn’t get stuck hankering after it, or wishing for an impossible return to former times.
The future? We can wish for a thousand wonderful outcomes. Though dangers and obstacles may also crop up which we must avoid or tackle. But the future isn’t here yet and mustn’t leave us mesmerized. Our reality is the present. Yesterday affected today, but today is going to affect tomorrow. Our present is rooted in the past and is shaping our future.
The present? This year, in 2019, we celebrate our Home’s 50th anniversary. But we’ll only look back as much as we need to. We’re aware of where we’ve come from, but we’re moving on, with our eyes on the path ahead, ready for whatever we meet round the next bend. Thank you for accompanying us on our journey of solidarity. You help to improve THE IMPORTANT PRESENT of each of our children. Let’s continue our journey.

(1) *** We thank God for the past fifty years, for every child that has passed through our Home, for every management and care team member, every volunteer and donor.
(2) *** We pray that the Lord will help us at the present time, giving us His vision, wisdom, patience, strength and dedication, greatly valuing the life of each and every child.
(3) *** We pray too for the future of our Home, with possible changes to our legal status and our location, our financial sustainability, an adequate range of human resources, spiritual effectiveness…
